SYLVESTER CAT ACEO - Even a cat can look at a king

Coming from the sandwich middle class of England, and being an entrepreneurial ex-pat most of my life, this has become one of my favourite sayings. Today I apply it to the announcement that a painting by Gerhard Richter, was sold for $37 million, making it the highest price ever for a living artist and breaking his own record.

$37,000,000.00
or 37 Million Dollars

If that's not inspiring I don't know what is!

This is one of my favourite all time paintings and I´m somewhat glad it hasn´t sold yet. It is a painting taken from an old wrought iron sign in Paris and it took me ages to create the faded and rusty metal effect and the winning smile.
