Day 2 of 30 - IN THE FLOW - Kintsugi Series

IN THE FLOW in incandescent light

A sculpture now showing in A WINTER GATHERING Exhibition at Lake Country Art Gallery in B.C. Entitled IN THE FLOW, it’s an assemblage combining lucite, cured driftwood, jewelry, glitter, crushed CDs and acrylic paint.

This is part of the Kintsugi series utilizing broken wood, which would otherwise be sent to the landfill. The art of Kintsugi is generally used to mend broken china, glorifying it’s cracks and crevices. Read more about Kintsugi and it’s symbolism here.
