MICHAEL SNOW
I don't often celebrate the birthday of a living artist, but the work of Michael Snow jumped out at me when looking for something else. Because he has had a long and illustrious career, it is interesting to see how his work has evolved over time.
Michael was born December 10, 1929 and is a Canadian working in painting, sculpture, video, films, photography, holography, drawing, books and music. Michael Snow was born in Toronto and studied at Upper Canada College and the Ontario College of Art. He had his first solo exhibition in 1957. Since then, his work has appeared at exhibitions across Europe, North America and South America. Snows' works were included in the shows marking the reopening of both the Centre Pompidou in Paris in 2000 and the MoMA in New York in 2005. In March 2006, his works were included in the Whitney Biennial. Quite a bio!
