Add a little fun and relaxation to your week. Choose one of these fun ideas for each day and actually schedule it in. Or make some up and share them in comments. Make sure you actually do one each day. You’ll be amazed how much lighter in spirit you feel at the end of the week.
Are you so busy doing for everyone else that you’ve forgotten that you’re a person too? You know what they say in the safety talk on the airlines ... put your own mask on first!
1. Plant spring bulbs. come spring, you’ll have new faces bringing color into your world.
2. Chat with your mother (or passed write her a letter)
3. Write your significant other a love note.
4. Mail real postcards from your town to family and friends
5. Visit a neighbor–share the chocolate chip cookies you baked.
6. Meditate.
7. Get a pedicure with a new color
8. Watch “Under the Tuscan Sun”….again
9. Do something outside of your comfort zone
10. Go to a local antique/junk store, look for things that remind you of your childhood….and smile
11. Browse a local book store.
12. Go to the flea market…you never know what you will discover/uncover.
13. Get your hair done and maybe add some wild color. I’m thinking a streak of purple would be fun!
14. Go to the dollar movies. cheap thrills. big screen is always better
15. Watch a funny movie (share yours in comments)
16. Save stations on Pandora radio. (Spa, Yoga, Pink Martini, John Mayer, Jim Brickman - share your favorites in the comments)
17. Read a kids book in the library or bookstore. The images and stories are always so delightful!
18. Go somewhere you have never been before. A park, a cafe. a street in an old neighborhood
19. Meet a friend at an outdoor cafe for coffee and smiles
20. Spend the hour in quietness
21. Pick ten funny digital photos, print them and put around your house.
22. Take photos of yourself making goofy faces and mail them to others with the caption “wish you were here!!” (not that I know anyone who does this….
23. Go dancing, or just dance in the street
24. Go shopping with no agenda and just drift.
25. Smile at a stranger.
26 Have a bubble bath.
27. Call an old friend you havent seen for ages.
28. Find out where to donate and give to a foodbank
29. Set up a donate box in the bottom of your closet and start loading it up.
