Desert Wind

Desert Wind by Sea Dean 24” x 24” Deep Gallery Wrap - $475 USD

This painting came together quickly with only a few minor adjustments. I chose a different palette to my usual selection. Starting with thin washes, I worked up to some more robust color, but the painting still has a light and airy feel.

I was going to name it Sirocco or Chinook after the winds, but Desert Wind seemed more international and still retains the feeling I wanted. I had no idea until I googled it, that here are many places in Phoenix USA using the name. Notably one is a retirement complex, perhaps I should check it out. Inused to travel to Arizona every year on business and really liked it there. Its very similar to the Okanagan, but with more open desert.

And for your enjoyment, here is the perfect soundtrack for viewing the painting.

  1. LOVE it Sea! Very Spring, very Easter. VERY desert HEAT and sky and sun setting light. How about Desert Breath or Breath of the Desert. Just a thought, we know titles are not my strong point. LOL. Desert exhalation. This is alive. Like the desert. And I love that. So many people think the desert is a barren place. :) Remember, anytime you want to visit the desert, you have a place to stay ;)
