GRATITUDE

Day 8 of 30 in 30

These wide open brilliant cerise flowers are full of fun. With an inexpensive frame this miniature would be perfect for the foyer, powder room or standing on your dressing table.

To the Chinese Chrysanthemums symbolize the good life and they are often used for offerings. In Japan they are associated with the Emperor. They are also the traditional Mother's Day flower in Australia because they bloom during the southern autumn in May. For all these reasons I named the painting "Gratitude" and what a lovely gift this original painting would make for Valentines or Mother's Day.
