This photograph was supplied by Maria Bennett Hock, a wonderful portrait artist.  I saw the photo Maria posted on her blog and just knew I had to paint this lovely little girl dreaming of being a beautiful ballerina. 

Ballet is hard! I went to a few lessons when I was very small and I hated it! I grew up to love dancing though, and for a while it became a big part of my life. This would be a lovely gift for a little girl who dreams big.

    LOVELY!!! So fun to see! I agree I took ballet for a very short time in my youth and it was definitely not my calling! Thanks for the shout out on my blog!
