As always, I'm happy to recreate this miniature in a larger size to your specifications. What a spectacular piece to have over your couch.


Progression of painting 

This is the second painting exploring the effect of under-painting on the final image of the work. Here I am using underpainting. I am also studying the effect of base colour on the general atmosphere of the piece. 

Each day I paint a similar image using the same palette; the only major variable being the colour of the under-painting. Here the base is Matisse Magenta. Check my other blogs to see other versions and return to view more in the series. It's quite fascinating.
