I chose this scene today for many reasons. Firstly, I try to complete fellow artist EVHE's bi-monthly challenge at least once a month. This was her photo to be painted by March 15th. Secondly it is St Patrick's Day when my thoughts drift to lucky green. Thirdly I am challenging myself to create bolder strokes of colour and this limited palette stopped me getting too involved in colours and encouraged me to be more focus on brushwork.
I rather like the result and I'm particularly proud of the glass jar holding the flowers.
