A walk by the creek

I managed to claw back a little time for myslf today and took a quick detour on the way home, along the creek that runs by my condo. It was about midday and the bright sunlight bouncing through the foliage and onto the water was creating an odd surreal light. No wonder Claude Monet was so fascinated by water features.

These images just dont do justice to the scene with bright blues, lime greens and rainbows. If you look in the water you will see some odd ripple scribbles that lend themselves perfectly to pastels or rapid brushwork. One image gives a perfect example of how the beight blue sky reflects on shiny holly leaves.
Feel free to use these for inspiration, but if you do, send me an image so I can post it on the blog. And put a link on your blog or website.
