Another page from that old sketchbook.
I love the simplicity of composition here and the quick graphite squiggles for clouds, waves and dunes. I’ve never been a big prep artist, preferring to launch straight into painting, but it does get me into trouble. A few preparatory sketches can save a lot of time and heartache.
This would make a lovely painting dont you think?
