The last one! Yay!
I left the title on this one deliberately ambiguous because I wonder if anyone can guess what it depicts. I painted it one way up but it can also be viewed the other way and it makes no difference to the subject. This is not an abstract by the way.
I've learned a lot in this process. In the previous six challenges I've had various struggles but this time was much more relaxed. Now I have actually created a painting a day over all 210 days of the seven challenges. This time I didn't try to be first at midnight to post on Leslie's blog and that took a lot of stress away. I would sometimes wake up in the middle of the night and do it then, finding myself around number 30. Sometimes I forgot until late in the day and ended up on the second page at around 250. I don't think it made much difference to the number of people that clicked over to my blog or gallery. It did make a lot of difference to my well being.
I'm a bit sad this one is over. I did get back into watercolour which I found a new passion for. I also got over my fear of pastels and I think that was some of my best work. My galleries are going to be thrilled.
So what's next? I predict that this year I may get back into oils, perhaps when Leslie does her next challenge in September. By then I should have my studio renos complete and a better drying system set up. Of course there will be more seascapes, pet portraits and florals in 2016 and hopefully a few surprises. Tomorrow I will have a collage of all my 30 paintings for you to enjoy.
Thank you for following on my journey.
