#30in30 - MINI TEX V - Day 16

There is a cling wrap texture method that you’ve probably seen on my Pinterest board “Sea Dean - Free Lessons Tips and Tricks”: It entails using cling wrap over paint, letting the paint dry to tacky stage and then carefully peeling the wrap away to reveal patterns.

The method above is different, as it leaves plastic film attached as part of the art. With this method you have to make triply sure that the plastic film has stuck before you continue adding to the work. With acrylics being a type of plastic, I thought it would be easy to get the two mates to stick together, but I had to use a thick layer of heavy duty clear gel, then continue to push the plastic into it as it dried. I later added more gel and jumbo glitter to create a deep ocean effect. Sorry, with bright light, shiny plastic and glitter involved, a better image is unlikely. In real life it looks like a designer evening dress.

Click here to see hundreds of artists work on the challenge. It’s amazing what some can do in a day.

TIP - Click on the images you like and it usually takes you to the artist’s own website so you can see more of their work, or for the more organized, to a page where you can buy them. I’m just happy o get it posted without missing a day:)
